Strategi Pengembangan Cabai Merah pada Lahan Produktif Sekitar DAS Ciliwung Kabupaten Bogor

Abstract

ABSTRACT

            As the capital city, Jakarta becomes the barometer of the achievement in the development. This including the fulfillment of basic foods such as red chili, which must be supplied from various buffer areas, especially from West Java Province. One of the challenges in the chili stabilization in Jakarta, which has an impact on the increasing of red chili price, is the location of production centers. One potential land that can be utilized is the watershed area by exploiting the availability of irrigation water. The selected river watershed is Ciliwung River in Bogor District by utilizing the potential of productive land around it. The purposes of this study is to formulate the strategies of red chili development on productive land around Ciliwung River watershed in Bogor District through the development of farming institutional. Data analysis that has been used was analytical hierarchy process’ (AHP). The strategic alternatives that become the main priority in the development of red chili on productive land around the Ciliwung watershed in Bogor District through the development of farming   institution   is the Development of Environmental-Based for Horticultural Area with the value of   0.372. Implementation of priorit strategy for the development of red chili in the targeted location is to develop the potential of environmental-based for red chili cultivation on the watershed and to strengthen the implementation of GAP.
