Analisis Keberlanjutan Pelaksanaan Program Gerbangku di Kabupaten Merauke

Abstract

ABSTRACT

            GERBANGKU is one of the community empowerment programs implemented by the Regional Government of Merauke Regency as an initiative to uplift the living standards of isolated communities, focusing on aspects such as economics, healthcare, infrastructure, and education. This is particularly aimed at the indigenous Papuan communities residing in these villages. The primary challenges in the development process include unequal access to educational services and the relatively low quality of human resources, especially in the villages predominantly inhabited by indigenous Papuan populations. The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify and evaluate the educational development through the implementation of the GERBANGKU program; and (2) to analyze the sustainability status of regional development programs using the GERBANGKU concept across ecological, economic, educational, socio-cultural, institutional, and technological infrastructure dimensions. Based on the analysis of sustainable development within the framework of the GERBANGKU program in Merauke Regency, it is observed that the sustainability status across various dimensions is as follows: ecological dimension is moderately sustainable (61.24%), economic dimension is less sustainable (45.38%), educational dimension is less sustainable (44.26%), social dimension is moderately sustainable (56.05%), institutional dimension is moderately sustainable (53.07%), and technological dimension is moderately sustainable (52.10%).
